th. Mr S. dont treat my Father I think with the same respect he used to do.

st. Roasted some plantains in our fire pot and played at cards with my Father.

nd. My Father very low spirited and talked very little to Mr. S.

rd. Looking out as I generally do with the spy glass, I saw a large sloop in full sail coming towards us, but she anchored off Bocatoro, when we went down to dinner we told Mr S. of it, but he took no notice of it.

th. Sunday. The vessel at Bocatoro still, my Father after asking Mr S. a hundred times, he at last offered him his canoe, to go and see who she was.

th. Rose before day and started with my Father in the canoe, with 4 hands; got along side of the vessel, which proved to be the Chatham, Capt. Polhemus, bound to Kingston, the Capt. offered my Father a passage for 50 dollars to find ourselves and pay him three days after we landed: he said he should be off in 2 hours. My Father left me on board and returned immediately in the canoe, to bring his things from Guana key. I went ashore to see Mr . and Mrs Latham, who gave me some limes, bananas etc. about past 8 p.m. my Father, with almost a dozen boatmen, hailed us and came on board, he brought provisions, 2 goats, some fowls, a dozen of wine etc.

th. Bid adieu to Bocatoro about sun rise.
